Distance learning

Structured online courses comprised of webinars and digital training materials provided through the RPS Learning Hub. Learning and development can be delivered remotely to clients and individual participants across all platforms and devices. This blended learning approach can be used in circumstances where participants and instructors are unable to collaborate face-to-face, by creating a virtual classroom.

Flexible and adaptable

Enhanced delivery

The Distance Learning solution allows for multiple instructors to contribute to a course, enhancing the learning experience. Additionally, scenario-based exercises can be developed and undertaken remotely.

Scheduling

Modules scheduled with live webinars including instructor interaction are timetabled for events each day over a time that suits our clients.

Each session is recorded and made available the next day. For those participants who may have missed a class or want to review their learning, then they have the opportunity to do so.

Distance learning introduction

By bringing our courses online we've incorporated interactive learning with the latest in technology to create a truly immersive learning experience. Each course page is structured with forum functionality for collaboration outside of the virtual classroom, pre course questionnaires for your subject matter expert to develop personalised learning plans based on experience and knowledge to maximise time spent in the classroom. This short video will introduce you to launching a distance learning course from the Learning Hub.

Flexible learning for remote workforces

Digital learning materials

RPS and Nautilus have always prided themselves on providing the best learning content and materials in the energy training industry. For 20 years, our training manuals have adorned office shelves and filled bookcases across the globe of previous training attended by our students. Now, with the same world-class content, we can provide all our materials digitally, making learning resources fit for the 21st century.

Interactive exercises

We know from experience (our participants tell us so!) that one of the most important and enjoyable parts of our classes is the exercises. This made it essential to include exercises in our distance learning offerings. Throughout webinar sessions and offline between sessions, participants are provided with a range of opportunities to complete group work (in our webinar break out rooms), or individual tasks which are submitted to the Learning Hub, assessed and marked by the instructor, all in the digital space. Practical knowledge for the workplace is at the heart of all our courses, whether learning in the classroom, the field, or online.

Assignments

Providing an opportunity to communicate tasks, collect work and provide grades and feedback. Participants can submit digital content, such as word documents, spreadsheets, images, or audio and video clips. An assignment can also be used to remind learners of 'real-world' assignments they need to complete offline. Participants can submit work individually or as a member of a group.

When reviewing assignments, instructors can leave feedback comments and upload files, such as marked-up submissions, documents with comments or spoken audio feedback.

Webinar sessions

Our integrated webinar platform provides real-time sharing of audio, slides, chat, video, and desktop with students. Students are engaged through sharing of polling, and breakout rooms for interactive collaborative sessions. Built-in polling makes it easy to engage students with instructor questions in real time.

When using the whiteboard tool, annotations are automatically displayed back to students in real-time. Presenters also have the ability to zoom, highlight, draw and write on presentations making points clearer to remote students.
