Monica Estrada

Monica, a geologist by background,  joined RPS as a Geoscience Technical Assistant in 2021 having graduated from Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a Masters in Petrophysics in 2020.

She will be repping for the first time this year and will take part in the necessary training, including Wilderness First Responder training, and our standard induction that all our H&S field representatives have to go through.

Monica believes that "being in the field and seeing the formations/feeling them and observing the processes they have taken in person are incredibly important for a long-lasting learning experience. The more you are exposed to the more you can apply to your science."

The top 3 items she will be carrying in her backpack will be:

  1. water
  2. first aid kit
  3. communication devices
