A virtual course, run over 6 sessions, where you will gain the practical skills necessary to utilize seismic inversion methods and Quantitative Interpretation (QI) techniques to characterise reservoirs and plan drilling projects for both conventional and unconventional reservoirs.

This virtual course, run over eight sessions, addresses the origin and distribution of overpressure in the subsurface with emphasis on practical applications to the geoscientist and petroleum engineer.

This 5-day field course is aimed at geoscientists and engineers (especially in teams) exploring for and developing carbonate reservoirs and has particular relevance to those working in the Permian Basin. This trip visits world-class carbonate outcrops in southeast New Mexico and west Texas and relates them to subsurface examples from the Permian Basin as well as other basins around the world. All major types of carbonate systems are viewed during this trip while examining thick and laterally extensive (seismic-scale) outcrops and interpreting oil field examples.

On this 5-day field course participants will gain an understanding of potential reservoir body geometry and its impact on the degree of stratigraphic compartmentalization and internal reservoir flow units. The link is made between depositional facies elements such as channel, levees, channelized sheets, layered or amalgamated sheets, and lateral and vertical reservoir connectivity.

A 4-day classroom course providing participants with the skills and knowledge to evaluate, operate and manage gas reservoirs and gas fields.

This 5-day classroom course teaches the fundamentals of core description and core facies analysis of siliciclastic and mixed carbonate-siliciclastic depositional systems.
