N845 Creative Problem Solving for Technical Professionals
This course will equip participants with highly practical tools and methodologies to become more creative and effective problem solvers. It is ideal for anyone who encounters complex technical problems, whether as individuals or in groups, across the full lifecycle of the E&P business. Participants leave with an action plan that can be immediately used when they get back to work.
A two-day classroom based course. This course is interactive and highly practical. It uses group discussions, creative thinking techniques, models, frameworks and exercises where participants use the tools and techniques on their real life situations.

When faced with complex technical problems, landing quickly on a solution is rarely the best strategy. In order to create the best solutions that effectively address all the key issues, problems need to be clearly defined and success criteria established before a range of creative solutions are developed and refined. These creative solutions need to be evaluated to decide which ones to implement.

Background
Helen is an inspirational learning and development specialist with over 20 years experience. After degrees in Psychology, she entered corporate life in a blue chip company in a sales management role. She wassuccessful and was promoted through the organisation, eventually to Director level, gaining experience in management, leadership, strategic development and implementation and stakeholder influence.
With this experience in both public and private sector Helen was ideally placed to set up her own successful consultancy, Fresh Twist, now well established over many years, bringing insight and connections across boundaries and job roles to ensure organisations and individuals reach their full potential. Helen works in many sectors including oil and gas, telecommunications, NHS, Government, regulatory bodies, fi nance and pharmaceuticals.
Along the way, Helen supplemented her personal development with a Diploma and an MBA. Her MBA speciality and dissertation focused on creative problem solving in the workplace. She is accredited to run Insights and MBTI tools. Helen is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Helen enjoys working closely with clients understanding, designing, co-creating, delivering, reviewing and training your trainers.
